There is hair that you want to keep, like on your scalp, and then there is hair that you don't want to keep, like on your back and face. There are many different methods for removing hair. Two of the most popular methods are shaving and laser hair removal.

Shaving

Hair removal can easily be done with a good razor and some shaving cream. The problem is that the hair grows back very quickly and it can get annoying to have to continuously shave to remove hair. And there is the issue of sensitivity, where the hair follicles become inflamed from continuous shaving.

Differences Between Wet And Dry Shaving
By Justin Jimmerson

Men have the pleasure of shaving their face multiple times each and every week. The act of shaving involves using a sharp metal blade scrapped across the skin. Women also shave but usually it is to remove leg and arm hair rather than facial hair. For basic shaving all you need is a razor and soap, but there are many shaving items such as straight razors, shaving cream, razor strops, and shaving stones. But aside from the items you need, first we need to look at the difference between wet and dry shaving.

Wet shaving has long been the classic way to shave. The skin is moistened, cream applied, and shaving commences. It is a dirty job if you don't have a fresh bowl or sink full of water to rinse with. Wet shaving usually takes 10 to 20 minutes to complete properly and may not be for everyone. If have bad skin, shaving this close might make your skin complications even worse.

Shaving with an electric razor is known as dry shaving. You do not need any cream or water and it can be done very quickly. Typically you won't encounter cuts or accidents as much with an electric razor. Electric razors cost more than $100 which is much more expensive than a wet razor. However, after you have bought a quality razor you will only need to clean it and replace the foils.

If you want to ensure that your skin stays healthy after a shave then you should use a moisturizing lotion to keep the skin hydrated and help heal any problems that may have developed. The best thing is to take your time and always use a sharp razor. That will help ensure that your face stays nice.

There are many types of razors including schick razors. Check out what I have to say about them.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is the up and coming service that many men are now looking into. Laser treatments can take several visits to a clinic to get permanent results. Some people do not experience permanent removal, only reduction of hair in a certain area. The success of a laser hair removal treatement is determined by your skin color and hair color. Consultations with a laser hair removal clinic physician are recommended to see if the procedure will work for you.

The Laser Hair Removal Attraction For Men
By Jada Bal

It is abundantly clear why laser hair removal has become very quickly a 'must have' for women around the world. After all, women have been fighting 'the hair' for ages, and any permanent solution is embraced with great enthusiasm and tears of joy.

But what's in it for moi - the male?

Well, its probably fair to say that male kind of this day and age - unlike the past - have started the war on 'hair' like women had...especially in certain body areas. Curious?

...some men need to get rid of them due to athletic competition,

...some men due to heat effects (imagine that),

...some men just do not like hair hanging out of their shirt - front or the back

...clearly, some men just do not like hair that requires shaving certain areas (your guess)

...there are men who are tired of shaving their head due to balding effects and they want to remove the remaining hair permanently

...and then there are those that battle the ingrown hair around the neck, beard and beard lines

So maybe the bottom line: men have as many reasons, if not more, as women to love laser hair removal... and so they do!

Laser hair removal for men is now fashion du jour. You don't necessarily have to consider yourself metro sexual to try the convenience of laser hair removal for your neck, cheeks, those ear hairs, chest, arms or back!

Take ingrown hairs, for example. Ingrown hairs are one of the most annoying problems one can encounter in day to day skin care. They are a nuisance for both men and women, due to unsightly and painful characteristics. Another term that is better known for ingrown hair is 'razor bumps'. The bright side: laser hair removal takes care of razor bumps in 3 to 6 quick treatments.

Try laser hair removal, if you haven't already. I think you will love it.
